We regard the Olivetti Lettera 32 as one of the finest typewriters ever made.
Designed by Marcello Nizzoli in 1963, it is celebrated for its sleek looks and reliable performance. The ‘32’ became a favorite of writers like Cormac McCarthy, Hunter S Thompson and Sylvia Plath due to its smooth typing and durability, making it an iconic tool for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
In 1908, Olivetti began typewriter production in Ivrea, Italy, transforming the small town into an industrial hub, combining technology with strong worker and community support. In 2017 it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This model, made in Ivrea, Italy 🇮🇹 in 1966 with the serial number 2729581, measures 32cm x 32cm x 11cm. It features a teal blue enamel metal casing with dark grey keys.
The typewriter is in excellent condition, but has a blemish on the 'N' key as pictured. It's been professionally cleaned, adjusted and serviced.

The original Olivetti cleaning kit, dust cover and manual also come with the typewriter and a new ribbon.
